This handwoven textile is crafted using the Tsuzureori weaving technique and represents the bark of a tree. The weft thread is made by twisting together five to six threads. This is then woven to form a flat, fine base surface. A variant in texture is created by twisting together threads of varying thicknesses and materials, and is incorporated using a coarse or derivative weave. This combination results in an uneven texture and feel, reminiscent of tree bark.
