This textile showcases the fuutsuu weaving technique, with certain sections of the fabric woven into tube-like forms. For this piece, the density of the weft threads is increased on the top surface layers of the tube-like sections, and these are purposefully woven under tension, creating a loosening and wrinkled effect. This bold, uneven texture is in contrast to the flat base fabric, and this variation in textures defines this woven fabric.
