This textile showcases one of the renowned Nishijinori weaving techniques known as Tsuzureori and is perfect for pictorial expression. The greater the attention given to colors and texture, the more closely the textile resembles a painting. This piece features the Kasumimonyo, an atmospheric pattern symbolizing a hazy landscape, which is rhythmically repeated. For the depiction of the haze, black lacquered threads and black Hakuito [a thread made from finely cut Washi paper embellished with materials such as lacquer, gold, or silver] are woven in, adding richness to the design.
