This handwoven textile is crafted using the Tsuzureori weaving technique. The base weave is woven with various threads and materials twisted together, including slub yarn with its visible joins and luster, to enrich the nuance. To further enhance the three-dimensional effect, periodically other threads, with wire twisted together to form thicker thread bundles, are added. These are then passed over and float on the surface. This design evokes an image of the mystical and vibrant roots of a majestic tree emerging from the earth.
