This thin mesh-like fabric, called Ra, is woven using the Mojiriori twisted weaving technique, also known as Leno. Resembling knitted fabric in appearance, it uses a combination of large and fine twists to depict a pattern. Although woven since ancient times, this textile has become rare in modern days. This piece showcases a horizontal herringbone geometric pattern, commonly known as Yamamichimon [mountain path pattern], wherein the lines resemble mountains.
