This textile features the Tatewakumonyo: a pattern symbolizing mist or steam rising toward the sky. It uses threads with a brushed-like texture, made by twisting together multiple threads, including those made from finely cut Washi paper embellished with aurora foil. An irregular shimmer and translucency are achieved by incorporating novelty yarn with a blend of different kinds of threads twisted together, enhancing the natural appearance of the fabric.
