This textile features translucent and nontranslucent sections by combining two distinct weaves: the Gisha weave, which creates spaces between the threads, and the Fuutsuu weave, which weaves the fabric in double layers. Additionally, by shrinking certain sections, light is able to pass through the fabric, resulting in a design reminiscent of flowing water.
