“Karanishiki,” which is one of the highest quality woven fabrics produced by our company, is a gorgeous and luxurious woven fabric produced using a large number of colors. However, this work is an adaptation of “karanishiki,” and is created using a smaller number of colors and with a modern finish. Gold threads are used as an accent.

When it is made into the “obi” sash for a kimono, “karanishiki” looks very grand and luxurious. For this reason, it is often used in formal settings. On the other hand, by adopting a fine and detailed design, this piece was designed in a way that makes it easier to use on casual occasions.
